A Community Response

(March 18, 2020) So many young people living in the Jane and Finch community are concerned about the future. They are worried and they feel anxious. Their community is one of the most impoverished in the city. They sense the existence of opportunity, and how it is eluding their grasp. These photos were taken by Idill Mohamed during a six-week summer school run in 2019 by the community-driven organization Success Beyond Limits and hosted by York University to prepare Grade 8 students to the major transition to high school.
